Joost: No love for Linux?

I was happy to see that Joost finally opened up the doors to beta testers … That is until I went to download it and found no Linux support.  I don’t know why I thought for a second that they’d come out of the gate with some love for Linux… Wishful thinking I suppose.

Is there a difference with the Joost TV system and the Joost on SourceForge? http://joost.sourceforge.net/
It’s described as Streaming Transformations for XML (STX) and that sounds like it’s at least the display portion of what the Joost TV system is. It is also written in Java and is fully compatable with Linux and other OSs, per SorceForge.

If so, why is Joost TV holding back?
