Ok, this is just sick and wrong — And this guy does not discriminate. Before the doggy incident, he was charged with felony mistreatment of an animal after killing a FUCKIN’ HORSE with the intention of having sex with it.

SUPERIOR, Wis. - A 20-year-old man received probation after he was convicted of having sexual contact with a dead deer. The sentence also requires Bryan James Hathaway to be evaluated as a sex offender and treated at the Institute for Psychological and Sexual Health in Duluth, Minn.

“The state believes that particular place is the best to provide treatment for the individual,” Assistant District Attorney Jim Boughner said.

Hathaway’s probation will be served at the same time as a nine-month jail sentence he received in February for violating his extended supervision.

He was found guilty in April 2005 of felony mistreatment of an animal after he killed a horse with the intention of having sex with it. He was sentenced to 18 months in jail and two years of extended supervision on that charge as well as six years of probation for taking and driving a vehicle without the owner’s consent.

Hathaway pleaded no contest earlier this month to misdemeanor mistreatment of an animal for the incident involving the deer. He was sentenced Tuesday in Douglas County Circuit Court.

“The type of behavior is disturbing,” Judge Michael Lucci said. “It’s disturbing to the public. It’s disturbing to the court.”

Ok, now … I’m skeptical, I really want to see these “pawpring-shaped bruises”.

CALVERT, Md. - Toby, a 2-year-old golden retriever, saw his owner choking on a piece of fruit and began jumping up and down on the woman’s chest. The dog’s owner believes the dog was trying to perform the Heimlich maneuver and saved her life.

Debbie Parkhurst, 45, of Calvert told the Cecil Whig she was eating an apple at her home Friday when a piece lodged in her throat. She attempted to perform the Heimlich maneuver on herself but it didn’t work. After she began beating on her chest, she said Toby noticed and got involved.

“The next think I know, Toby’s up on his hind feet and he’s got his front paws on my shoulders,” she recalled. “He pushed me to the ground, and once I was on my back, he began jumping up and down on my chest.”

That’s when the apple dislodged and Toby started licking her face to keep her from passing out, she said.

“I literally have pawprint-shaped bruises on my chest. I’m still a little hoarse, but otherwise, I’m OK,” Parkhurst said.

“The doctor said I probably wouldnt be here without Toby,” said Parkhurst, a jewelry artist. “I keep looking at him and saying ‘Youre amazing.’”

So after writing a bit about my opinion about the Apple TV yesterday, the guys over at Mvix sent over a little note to remind me that they too offer an Apple TV alternative, the Mvix MX-760HD.

Though not as pretty as the Apple TV, the Mvix seems to boast a much nicer set of features and is capable of working with just about every audio and video format available. On the downside, if you’re already a slave to the iTunes, the MX-760HD will not play back iTunes DRM protected content.

Aside from not being able to play iTunes content (Something nobody else will be able to do either) this thing looks pretty damn good. Not only does it play nearly every video, audio and image format, it has a ton of other features that you won’t see on the Apple TV. Most notably:

• Unlimited hard drive upgrade ability.
• Support for the major types of Subtitle formats.
• An external storage port.
• Higher maximum output resolution.

Now, since they only sent me an email, and not an actual review unit, I can’t account for ease of setup or the user interface, but I can’t imagine it being much different than the Apple TV.

No, seriously … Twitter seems to be this months fad, but I’m failing to grasp why… I just cannot wrap my head around why the fuck people find it so interesting?

First, lets just make sure I understand this shit:

A global community of friends and strangers answering one simple question: What are you doing? Answer on your phone, IM, or right here on the web!

Ok … So, why do I even remotely care about what a billion random strangers are doing right now?

Now, I suppose you can say the same thing about maintaining an online journal or reading the random blog, but at least there seems to be a purpose in that; You search for something, you get a bunch of links, you read the things you’re interested in. Hell, maybe you go to one of the many aggregator sites out there and catch up on whatever is going on.

I just fail to understand how anyone can find twitter interesting, much less why so many people are participating.

I actually took a few minutes to try and grasp it, watching messages like:

• “taking a dump”
• “in the library”
• “Finally cleaning up the mess from our party with the Packowskis.”

WHO THE FUCK ARE THE PACKOWSKIS and why the fuck do I even remotely give a flying fuck about you cleaning up the empty Vodka bottles and leftover Polish sausage bits they left behind?? If you’re gonna tell me that you’re taking a shit, at least take the laptop in there with ya and give me a play-by-play. Oh, and WTF is a library?? Don’t you know you can just download it.

Is everyone that bored? WHAT? What is the fuckin’ deal. Someone please ‘xplain it to me…

A while back I saw this moving truck somewhere between Milwaukee and Chicago and I couldn’t help but fall in love with the logo and slogan.

Now, I’m a t-shirt kinda guy and this was a company tee that I absolutely had to add to my wardrobe. I searched and searched– I even called the fuckin’ company — but no shirt. I MUST HAVE ONE OF THESE SHIRTS!

Broke down, opened up photoshop, created a new CafePress shop and, an hour later, had this:

Ordered mine today — and figured since I put the effort into it, I may as well make them available to the general public. Not that anyone other than me might think this is just a cool fuckin’ shirt, but hey — maybe you’re a bit nutty too?
